The name of this instrument from a Led Zeppelin concert?
I saw Led Zeppelin (or I guess it would be Page and Plant) about 10 years ago, maybe longer, in Phoenix, AZ. Someone came on stage with a very strange instrument and was introduced, but it was impossible to understand what Robert Plant was saying.
It was the weirdest looking thing, it loked like a gourd or something, and he held on to one side and stuck his hand inside the bottom. It looked like he turned a little knob, and then he was pressing buttons on it to change the sound. It sounded amazing.
I want to say he mentioned something about it being an ancient instrument, but I can't be sure. Anyone have any ideas??
