How do I get on my default gateway on a cable modem?
I had dsl and I got to it by typing in 192.168.1.1 in the browser...Now, I have a cable internet connection and I don't know how to get to the page where you can change up settings...such as turning the firewall off, and other stuff.
I am trying to update my game on the playstation, and I keep getting a message saying that the ISP can't be found. I just need to take the firewall off.

If you need more information just let me know...
You can't, usually. The cable modem is not a router. The router is at the Cable point of presence or central office. It's not like DSL, so you can't configure the modem. But, the good news (or maybe bad news in this case) is that they don't usually have a firewall in them. So that's most likely not the issue with the PS3.
