Can't Connect to Xbox Live?
Ok to start off I have 1 computer(WINXP) connected to the internet using a USB modem(Arris Touchstone TM402G/110). My computer also has an NIC(Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller) which i run an ethernet cable from to my 360. I am using ICS to connect my LAN 1(USB Modem) to my LAN 2(NIC) both with Auto Assign IP and DNS so DHCP will be enabled. On my 360 IP and DNS are on automatic while other options are off. Now to the problem. Monday my connection was fine then due to my brother restarting the computer while I was in the middle of an online COD4 match and got disconnected. After rebooting my computer and then turning my 360 back on I was no longer able to connect to Live.Although I can still connect when using a direct connection to my modem, however no one can use the internet on the computer when I do. I have been to every forum and search engine to fix my problem but to no avail. Please help!!!
Unplug/turnoff EVERYTHING. Then turn on the first thing that the internet goes through ( your modem), and continue until you reach your 360 (ie: plug in modem, then comp, then 360.
If that doesn't work, try bridging the connections going through the computer. Go to your network setting under control connections select the 2 connections, right click an select 'bridge'.
