Why does this ADSL modem lose broadband connection when the UPS starts beeping due to low voltage?
And then it regains the connection after a while.
Hey.. you need to check the battery of the UPS, as it got week. When the power off, Normally the output of UPS is depend up on the source of battery power inside. when power exists then, it keeps on charging and holds it with average voltage of 12.0 + - 5.0, but when power off, then the charging section will be off, leading the voltage of the battery reduced to 11.5 + - 5.0, if the battery is good condition. if it is in bad condition then, the battery power would be below to 9.0 volts. in such situation the out put will be stoped for a while and the modem gets disconnected as power gets off for a while that is 1.2 secs. The PC will continuesly work without shut down. so you need to change the battery of the UPS or have a Advanced technology API UPS so it have low voltage fecility to rum the UPS. hope it works with you.. all the best.
